Meet the Team

PALS is governed by a 7 member board of directors, a General Manager and  a Company Secretary. The board meets every other month to receive reports from the General Manager, review the company's financial statements, discuss strategy and set policy for the organisation.  PALS draws on the diverse skills, experience and institutional knowledge of its directors.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Christopher Barnes (Chairman) - a management consultant with over 25 years of extensive private- sector leadership. He is the former Chief Strategy Officer of Radio Jamaica Limited, Managing Director of The Gleaner Company Limited, and serves on the boards and board committees of companies to include The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited, Television Jamaica Limited, Pan Jamaica Group Limited and JN Life Insurance Company Limited.

Neville James CD - A communications consultant with broad experience in broadcasting and journalism. He was the conceptualiser and Chairman of radio station, KLAS FM, which began broadcasting in 1989. Mr. James has served in various leadership positions including CEO/Manager of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and is a former Chairman of the Media Association of Jamaica. He currently serves on the boards of the National Crime Prevention Fund and Renew Limited.

Morin Seymour - A former Executive Director of Kingston Restoration Company Limited and a director of Kingston Restoration Foundation, Mona Social Services Company, UWI, Mona Campus and a member of other boards. He is Chairman of Central Branch All-Age School and a Past President of the Jamaica American Friendship Association.

• Lloyd Van Bylevelt – President, Peace Education Foundation in Miami, Florida. Dedicated to educating children and adults in the dynamics of conflict and promoting peace-making skills in our homes, schools, community, the nation, and the world.

David Roberts-. A highly successful track record for over 40 years in sales and sales management covering a number of industries and countries. Former Director Of Sales – Caribbean Yello Media Group

Erin Mitchell (appointed 2025)- Erin brings proven expertise in brand strategy, innovation, and growth from senior roles at Wisynco, Jamaica Producers Group, Red Stripe, and Bacardi USA. Her track record in scaling businesses and governance experience as an NCB Foundation board member position her to drive PALS' expansion and strengthen its marketability to make it more attractive to potential funding partnerships.

• Danielle Terrelonge (appointed 2025)- Founder of DRT Communications, Danielle brings nearly two decades of expertise advising over 40 local and international brands, including partnerships with UNICEF, The World Bank, and UNESCO. Her strategic communications and stakeholder engagement experience will serve to amplify PALS' visibility and broaden its impact.

GENERAL MANAGER AND COMPANY SECRETARY 

Janilee Abrikian- A certified mediator of 25 years. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioner 30 years. Writes a programmes and curricula. Post graduate degree in education. Multilingual professional. Published in Spanish. Certificate in Project Management University New Orleans (Date). Peace Building course American University in Washington ( date). Ministry taskforce Violence in Schools (MOE); Joint MNS Safe Schools Task force (date). PALS taken to Barbados, Monserrat, Switzerland (UNICEF) and Trinidad (UNESCO). UN trained editor in three languages. Master in Performing Arts, Trintiy college of Music London. Member of the Jamaican National Choral.

Karene Miller (appointed 2026)- Attorney at Law of twenty-two years and Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaican Copyright Licensing Agency (JAMCOPY). Prior positions include the Jamaica National Group as the Corporate Secretary, the law firm of Foga Daley and Co and the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO). Karene currently serves on the Finance and Compliance Sub-Committee of the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS) and the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO).
